Attorney Stacey Gilbert Orsborne has worked in family law since establishing her own private practice in 2003. However, her legal career as an attorney began when she worked as a Staff Attorney to Judge David Fais of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, General Division, in 2001.

Soon after opening her own firm, family law quickly became the bulk of her practice. After working as a solo practitioner, Stacey then joined a law firm in Columbus as an associate attorney, where she also mainly focused on family law. After a time with the firm, Stacey became a Staff Attorney to Judge Elizabeth Gill of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch. In July of 2008, Stacey became Of Counsel with a law firm that focused exclusively on family law.

Stacey joined the Law Offices of William L. Geary Co., LPA, in April of 2015. She now practices only family law and enjoys what she does because she does something she loves – practicing law – while helping people.

Stacey assists clients with divorces, dissolutions, legal separations, child custody, child support, spousal support (alimony), paternity, antenuptial (prenuptial) agreements, unmarried parent issues, and other family law matters. She became an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law in 2012.

Stacey’s experience as a Staff Attorney to two different judges proved to be invaluable. Being a Staff Attorney provided her with the opportunity to get to know the Judges and their staffs and helped her learn about the inner-workings of a court.

Stacey received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Dayton. While at the University of Dayton, Stacey also minored in French and International Business and studied abroad in both eastern and western Europe. Activities while attending the University of Dayton included: mock trial team; Phi Alpha Delta (Prelaw Fraternity); and Amnesty International.

Stacey received her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Activities while attending law school included: research group (research fellow and officer), teaching dispute resolution skills to middle school students, and teaching basic legal concepts to grade school students.

Previously, Stacey worked with Franklin County Interfaith Legal Services as a volunteer, a member of the steering committee, and as the first Chairperson.

Stacey is married and has two children and two step-children and lives in Galena. When not assisting clients, Stacey enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is an active member at her Church. Stacey also enjoys running, kickboxing, spinning, and weightlifting and has completed one full and two half marathons.
